It reminds you not to check your email too often. ![]() ![]() The other standout feature is the Dashboard. To this end the app coaches you to sort incoming mail into an actionable list and a passive ‘ FYI‘ list. Both the design and feature set of this app is based on the idea of helping you minimize and manage your email workload, not merely read it and move on. Hiri is not a straight e-mail client like Thunderbird, Evolution or Geary are. The app is written in Python and PyQt/Qt and is available on Windows, macOS and Linux. The Hiri email client is a desktop app that works with Microsoft Exchange servers and Office 365 accounts (and works just dandy with regular accounts too). Hiri Email Client Lets You Use Exchange Accounts on Linux This is a decent enough solution, but its not without its problems.Īnd while there are other solutions out there, from DavMail to Evolution set-ups, that let use an Exchange account on Linux, a decent, dedicated and dependable app is hard to find. Many opt to use Mozilla Thunderbird with the (paid) ExQuilla plugin. We regularly receive emails and tweets from Ubuntu users who want to know how to set-up a Microsoft Exchange account on Ubuntu so that they can access their work email, calendar, tasks and contacts. I am just getting a few last applicational, python errors when closing the app, reported them to Hiri.Looking for a Linux email client that works with Microsoft Exchange servers, Office365 or Outlook accounts? I then installed it with: apt-get install libgles2-mesaĪfter installing this last library/package, the application allowed me to use it.Īlso deinstalling update-glx and glx-diversions, and glx-alternative-mesa got finally rid of the message libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to authenticate. it was not one of the uninstalled packages). Strangely it was not present before (e.g. hiri.sh: line 13: 2105 Segmentation fault "$SCRIPTDIR/hirimain" googling, I found out those errors can be due to a missing libgles2-mesa library. Requested OpenGL implementation is not supported. Failed to load libGLESv2.so.2: libGLESv2.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory LibEGL warning: DRI2: failed to authenticate However now the application while loading, seems to crash either in the first mouse click and/or opening an email, with the following errors: libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to authenticate Had then to install the following package: apt-get install libegl1-mesa-driversĪfter installed it, the apllication already loaded and showed the main screen (the email client main screen). I tried then to revert the uninstalled packages, including libgl1-mesa-dri, but did not seem much of a change in the error. I found out the situation seems to due both to the deleted driver and for the current video card not supporting OpenGL natively - Hiri display an OpenGL? logo when starting. hiri.sh: line 13: 1369 Aborted "$SCRIPTDIR/hirimain" are my logs about the removed packages from /var/log/apt/history.log Start-Date: 13:42:53 LibEGL warning: DRI2: failed to open swrast (search paths /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri:$/dri:/usr/lib/dri) What can I to correct this? libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to authenticate It opens the splash screen, but is crashing upon start after it with the errors bellow. Now when I call my email app Hiri with hiri.sh, it crashes. In the process of trying to disable the Radeon, I uninstalled the radeon Xorg drivers the mesa package driver(s) libgl1-mesa-dri. It is now using the "Intel HD Graphics 520 (rev 07)" I have just disabled my radeon card in GRUB with radeon.modeset=0. Running xserver-xorg 7.7+19 and fluxbox 1.3.5-2+b2 I am using Debian Stretch/amd64 in a Lenovo Thinkpad E560 with an i7 6500U CPU 2.50GHz and 16GB of RAM. My Hiri 1.4.0.4 email client has started crashing upon being called.
